Public Transportation System

  • An open-to-the-public bus transportation service that is partially funded by New York State and the Saratoga County Office for the Aging. Senior Citizens (over the age of 60) ride at no cost, but are encouraged to make a voluntary contribution. All contributions are voluntary and confidential. Services will not be affected because of an inability to contribute. Any contribution received will be used to expand service. Riders under the age of 60 must pay a fare of $0.65 each way. The bus route includes the City of Mechanicville only, bound by the tax map. Questions regarding the schedule can be answered by calling our bus info line at (518) 664-9884 EXT 5.
  • CITY BUS HOURS: Monday-Friday 9:30-1:30
  • YEAR ROUND HOURS ARE EFFECTIVE/ UPDATED AS OF 6/28/2021. The bus will run from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday through Friday. 

  • PLEASE NOTE that hours are subject to change. On many Saturday's during the fall and winter our bus takes our local Senior Citizen's on trips, which may affect the weekend bus schedule. 
  • Stillwater Eldercare Services:
    For doctor appointments outside of Mechanicville. You must be age 60 or older and not on Medicaid.
