Business Assistance: Revolving Loan Fund Program

The City of Mechanicville offers small business loans of $5,000–$10,000 to qualified applicants through its USDA-backed Revolving Loan Fund program. The program is designed to support both existing small businesses (50 or fewer employees) located in Mechanicville and new businesses looking to establish themselves in the City.

How it works:

  • Applicants complete and submit the Revolving Loan Fund application with the Commissioner of Accounts Office.
  • Completed applications are then forwarded to Camoin & Associates for underwriting review and approval.
  • Applicants must be able to contribute a 10% cash equity match toward total project costs.
  • Loan funds may be used for acquisition/development of land, easements, or rights-of-way; machinery and equipment; pollution control and abatement facilities; working capital and start-up costs; and technical assistance.
  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; contact the Commissioner of Accounts Office for details on when the next batch of applications will be reviewed.
