Parks Commission

The City of Mechanicville Parks Commission is dedicated to maintaining and improving the parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities that make Mechanicville a great place to live, play, and gather. The Commission works to ensure that our public green spaces are safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for residents of all ages.

What We Do

The Parks Commission is responsible for:

• Planning and recommending improvements to existing parks, playgrounds, and open spaces
• Supporting recreational programming and seasonal amenities that serve the community
• Coordinating with city departments to address park safety, upkeep, and capital needs
• Exploring opportunities for grants and partnerships to enhance the City's parks and recreation offerings

Our Parks & Facilities

Mechanicville's public parks offer something for everyone, including playgrounds, a pool, a spray ground, picnic areas, and open green space. The City's Summer Recreation Program, held at Park Avenue Playground, provides children with daily activities and meals from July through August.
