Sidewalk Maintenance & Snow/Ice Removal 

City of Mechanicville regulations require that all property owners maintain the sidewalks adjacent to their property.

City Code Requirements:

“It shall in all cases be the duty of the owner of every lot or piece of land in the City of Mechanicville to keep the sidewalks adjoining his lot or piece of land in good repair and to remove and clean away all snow and ice and other obstructions from such sidewalks.”

“It shall be unlawful for any persons to deposit, pile or otherwise dispose of snow and/or ice from private premises into streets and/or thoroughfares.”

Help Our Public Works Crews If you have access to off-street parking, we kindly ask that you use it during snow storms. This helps our Department of Public Works (DPW) crews clear the streets more efficiently and safely.
