The City of Mechanicville offers several well-maintained parks and playgrounds for residents and visitors of all ages. Whether you're looking for a place to play, relax, picnic, exercise, or host a community event, our parks provide beautiful green spaces throughout the city. All parks are free and open daily from dawn to dusk.
Tallmadge Park
252 Park Place – Mechanicville’s largest and most popular park. This beautifully maintained park features lush green spaces, walking paths, playgrounds, sports fields, picnic areas, and pavilions. It is a favorite location for family gatherings, summer concerts, fireworks, and large community events.

Paul Luther Memorial Park (South Main Street Playground)
346 South Main Street A neighborhood park featuring a playground and recreational facilities.
Amenities:
- Playground with swings
- Tennis courts
- Restrooms (bathrooms)
Tenandahoa Park
Located near Terminal Street along Tenandahoa Creek. This scenic park offers recreational space and views of the creek. The basketball courts are currently available for use, while the scenic walking bridge is under construction.

Patenaude Memorial Park
North Central Avenue (Route 32) & Burke Street A quiet memorial park dedicated to PFC Harold Patenaude, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1966. The park includes a dedicated Veteran Memorial site with a bench and flowers.
Denier Veteran Memorial Park
A peaceful triangular park dedicated to Marine Lance Cpl. Anthony J. Denier, who died in the line of duty. The park features a gazebo and serves as a place for quiet reflection and remembrance.
Splash Pad
Splash Pad Hours
The splash pad at Park Avenue Playground will be on Monday through Friday beginning July-August. The pool opens at 10:00 AM and closes at 3:00 PM.
On Saturday's throughout the duration of the program, the Park Avenue splash pad will be open from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM. During this time, there will be no staff on for craft activities, but children are welcome to use the splash pad. The bathrooms will also be open on this day.
The Park Avenue Splash Pad may close at any time due to the following reasons, but not limited to: rain, thunder, severe storms, extreme temperatures and unsatisfactory readings of chemicals.
